I am so far behind in any kind of reporting I am just going to throw up what few photos I have of the AX with a few comments. And say that the show was a smashing success for Dern and I as far as exposure and sales go. And now a little story. I had done sketch of a zombie at our booth. Mostly because the newest story line in the book is about zombies. It was laying out on the table at our booth and few commented on it. No big deal. Then two guys show up and notice it. The first guy proceeds to tell us how he has recurring dreams involving zombies. Including one where zombies worship him. I totally need a grant to study this guy. Then his friend suggests that I draw the dream dude as a zombie. I take picture of the guy so that he doesn't have to hang around. I proceed to do the sketch. I am almost finished and someone else comes by and asks what I am working on. I tell them and they yell out "I want to be drawn as a zombie!". Fine. A gig is a gig. This is the real weird part. I then do the next sketch and am almost finished just like before when someone else shows up and wants to be sketched as a zombie. Then the same thing happens. I did, I think, seven chain sketches, almost finishing one when someone sees and want theirs done. Con rage! And the crew after hard day of booth manning. I am the one taking the picture.
