WHAT, ME WORRY ABOUT DEADLINES?
Crazy, crazy deadlines. Plus we are moving. And I am working with a new writer (well new for me) on some pitches to Mad magazine. Back to the boards.

SKETCHIN' FOR TEENS!
I was an invited guest at the annual Vinyard Jr. High art festival. I usually do these things as chance to promote my art classes. I wind up doing a few sketches for a small portion of the people who wander by my table. I try to limit my time doing request at these shindigs partly because I am not getting paid for the sketches. Don't get me wrong, money isn't everything, but telling somebody they can have a free sketch just seems a lot of time to bring to most complex and intricate requests. i.e. "Can you draw Galactus fighting both the Avengers and the JLA while Spiderman swings in front of them?" And partly because if I do agree to do every request I usually wind up looking down at the paper the entire time and don't get to talk to nearly as many people.
But when I do a gig like this or one for charity I do notice that boys and girls up to a certain age both like Spongebob but after that age they want Wolverine or Tinkerbell. Sally informs me that faeries have always popular.

DEPT OF SELF-PROMOTION
Here is a somewhat simple commission of Magick I did for someone. This is just my way of saying that I am available for commissions, so feel free to drop me a request. And don't worry my prices are more than reasonable.

OK FINALLY
That's right I am finally posting some stuff about Free Comic Book Day. I just received a bunch of scans from the owner of the store where I was sketching for folks. Out at Shooting Star Comics It was a good turn out. I was kept busy drawing pretty much the whole time I was there. On to the pics.
