HOLY UNDERWEAR, BATMAN! I can't believe that it is time for San Diego Comic Con once again. I will be down tomorrow and the whole weekend. I won't be setting up but will be wondering around in a dazed state of bewilderment. I am going to be spending some time with buddy inker Andy Owens as well as trying to mingle with as many people, that I only get to see at SD, as I can. Con report ho!

CLAREMONT vs. MONTCLAIR Feel free to follow the links. I live in the next town over of Pomona. Before that I lived on the other side, in Ontario. I think it is one of those things that if you have lived here long enough you just don't even think to question it. It has just always been this way. But to have two contiguous towns with such similar names is just silly. I actually used to wondered which came first. And if you are the newer, why would you name your town in such an obviously derivative manner. Besides, wouldn't they both translate to the same thing in English? But, since Claremont has been around for about fifty years longer I am going to have to go ahead and declare: "Montclair, I name thee unimaginative in thy name taking!"

TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE This is what we call the teaser, I think. Pretty soon I am going to be revamping my whole site. From all the content to the look. I have a bunch of new stuff to post. I'm just trying to catch up deadline-wise. Some new comic stuff, storyboards for music videos, and production art for television. Oh yeah, a grip of comic inks thanks to my buddy Andy Owens. I am sick of looking at the same ol' stuff anyways, aren't you?

LOSING MY MIND DEPT. Let me just preface this by saying that I do NOT collect coins. So I am in a little shop for coin collectors today. And the owner is one of those shop owners who likes to form an instant and obvious relationship with a customer (or potential customer). So he says to me, "Well, well, I haven't seen you in here for a while." To which I reply, "That's because I have never been in here before". To which he replies, "Right". And it is one of those knowing pronunciations. Like it would be spelled "Riiiight". As if he thought I was lying and he got the joke. The weird part is that he did such a convincing job of it that for about four seconds I totally doubted myself and thought, "Oh crap, this guys knows me and I have absolutely no idea who the heck he is. Think! Think! Have I been in this store before and have somehow blanked out the memory of it? Think! Is this guy some sort of freak with a photographic memory? Have I really been here before and don't know it? Does this guy actually know my shopping better than me? What the hell's going on?" Just picture me looking around the room really quickly trying to spot a familiar landmark. Then coming back to this guy and realizing he has no idea who I am. Whew!

Just how many pictures of me sitting somewhere and drawing for people can you take? Here are a few more. The first is at Shuffle and Cut, a gaming store. I was invited out by Radarlock Games as they were playtesting a game I did artwork for.
And the following was at Golden elemntary school for their summer school program. I was teaching the kids cartoon basics.
Seriously, I am realizing just how many pics I have of me at a gig that amount to me behind a table drawing for somebody. A bit predictable. What the heck, here is one more. I am at Shooting star Comics. for Free Comic Book Day.
And if I ever get any of the scans of sketches I did I might put those up too. Hint, hint, Renee.
